You've stumbled on this page!? There's still plenty of work remaining as I'm busy working on a game and trying to flex my poor website skills... So for now let's fill you in on the history :)

Who's Jerry?
My name's Jerry, I've been designing games for the past 20 years. Originally I wanted to be a crime fighter, but unfortunately my small town already had one and the streets were very safe. So naturally I turned to programming but still continue to work on my secret base in secret. Now being a video game designer I bet you think I'm super rich and have women in bikini's cleaning my mansion? Well it's true, and seeing as you're so smart to have picked up on that I am willing to let you in on a secret. My blog will contain all the requirements for becoming as successful and as cool as me. You see me over there to the left? Yeah, I'm as cool as the colour green.

What games have you made?

Gladiator Trials II was my first game, I was really hungry one day and decided to mix a pizza in a blender to save time eating. You know, every minute spent eating is a minute lost to working on my super hero costume and designing games. So what does a pizza in a blender have to do with my first game? I decided that philosophy could be applied to games and I could end up with a totally ultimate game if I blended many genres together. I took some sim building and management, and some role playing game aspects like leveling up and wearing new rad gear.. I just said rad, that will never happen again! Anyway and add in some turn based tactics-like combat, I say tactics-like with the hyphen because I was juggling so many genre's at the time I couldn't concentrate much on a deep strategy system.

So anyway it's a pretty cool game for my first serious attempt. It has major flaws in it's design and the interface is a horrid mess, but if you can manage to get past the poor graphics you can enjoy a decent game that I've been told is a little like x-com. Yeah shock, I've never played X-com, I hear it's good though. Because I think it's cool to share things I ended up releasing the source code for GT2 a year after it's release. My generous nature doesn't stop there, I will be releasing the full game for free shortly, yep charity runs through my veins. I get my blood from the homeless! It keeps me young, and because I'm nice I match the red cross with a cookie and coffee in return.

See this cool shot beside this text you're now reading? It was the next game that I released and as it's name suggests Laundry Rush is a diplomatic simulation of dating an anthropomorphic washing machine with an Australian underwear fetish.

As extensive marketing proved, Laundry Rush managed to find it's audience and sell fairly well on the AppStore. You can now grab it for free, which has really helped it's popularity and I think helped people take a good look inside themselves and ask if they too might have an Australian underwear fetish.

Why the change of company?
After the success of Laundry Rush I decided to go back and rebrand my image. I didn't want my games to be labelled and having a Tag in the logo didn't help with that. So I did what no one in the industry expected or even knew about until right this second, unless my server is overloaded with the rush of visitors and no one is reading this. How unfortunate, I spent a lot of time writing this between sips of pizza.

So I had this cool picture of me in a red shirt that I thought would look even cooler with a green shirt. I put on the green shirt and bamn "GamesByJerry" just floated in front of me. It was definitely a sign, but what was it doing floating in the air? I needed to go to bed and sleep this one off.

Now just to be cool I thought, instead of having it "Games By Jerry" what about I made it "GamesBy Jerry", it was a huge change in my opinion but the biggest change was yet to come. Well get back to that though... That's called a cliff hanger, now you'll be stuck wondering what the biggest change to come is, and you can't help but continue to read.

What are you working on?
So right now I'm working on a new prototype game that's using Augmented Reality, progress is coming alone well and I hope to show off some sneak peaks soon. Since the prototype is heavy on the visuals and light on design/scripting I've had some time on my hands to work on a cool new pet project. I'm doing a business managment sim game. You know those cool games like Game Dev Story where you run a game studio and make games? This isn't like that, instead you make video game engines! You know like the famous Quake and Unreal engines. Yeah it's a cool twist, thanks.

That's going to be menu and text driven, not because I'm not an awesome artist, the exact opposite infact (I've done plenty of colour changes using the lasso selection thingy). I thought I would concentrate on the gameplay first and try to create a game with as little outside help as possible, mostly to save money but also to speed up the development time frame. I'll release some early browser version with the next blog post, that way you can play the awesomeness as it develops and I guess you could even suggest a thing or two.

I heard nerds are in this year and celebrities are out,
The Jerry.
